Hi, Just because we are sort of talking about this...I was wondering if anyone has any "rules" or policies regarding sending PII to internal staff. When we had an exchange platform, everything stayed within our network and would email PII internally, since we moved to O365 I told them no. What are you doing about emailing PII to internal staff? ____________________ Susan McHugh Chief Information Officer Mount Wachusett Community College s_mchugh () mwcc mass edu<mailto:s_mchugh () mwcc mass edu> 978-630-9174 From: The EDUCAUSE Security Community Group Listserv <SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU> On Behalf Of Manuel Amaral Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2018 11:00 AM To: SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU Subject: [External]Re: [SECURITY] O365 A1 and OneDrive Hi Bill, We've actually just wrapped up our Exchange migration as well and beginning to think about/plan next steps. We're considering quite a lot of things including; permissions for OneDrive, SharePoint, Groups, Teams, etc.; how best to rollout the features and functionality to our community; backup needs and considerations; as well as staying on top of/ahead of changes within the environment. One of our challenges is not having staff we can dedicate to focus on O365 and are therefore trying to leverage the collective wisdom and experience of others to help keep the ball rolling. We'd be happy to share anything we come across which might be helpful to you and your team. In case you're not familiar with them, here are a couple of other lists you might find helpful as you work on your plans. The question is in regard to OneDrive, not OneNote. ________________________________ From: The EDUCAUSE Security Community Group Listserv <SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU<mailto:SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU>> on behalf of Ferland, William <wferland () CCRI EDU<mailto:wferland () CCRI EDU>> Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2018 4:17 PM To: SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU<mailto:SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU> Subject: [SECURITY] O365 A1 and OneNote Hello everyone, We have just migrated our faculty and staff to the O365 A1 Education Plan and are now looking at what level of OneNote access permissions to provide users. I have some anxiety relative to data security and how we proceed. Any experience/advice/concerns you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
