The only thing I can really provide from the google perspective is if you have federal research, there may be some 
questions involved with the Google agreement and their  scanning of the data.  You may need to talk with  your General 
Counsel/external Counsel and make sure that the agreement (or any associate Business Associate Agreements) with Google, 
will meet their requirements.

We very intentionally don't allow email or data storage on google for certain grants/research for that reason.
