We are using Stage Clips and MarchingOrder for our virtual commencement.

Subject: Re: [SECURITY] Live streaming

Good Morning,

I'm looking into options for Commencement right now for later this year (nothing has been firmly decided on how we are
handling an onsite Commencement yet). I'm thinking Zoom could be a fallback option but I'm also exploring whether what
we were considering using for streaming live athletic events might be a better option. In the past, I've used Adobe
Connect successfully to stream a live event so it's probably the same with Zoom, WebEx, etc.

One of my concerns is the use of prerecorded music - our ASCAP, BMI and SESAC licenses do not permit streaming
prerecorded music so a public streaming component or social media component needs planning of how to deal with this.
We've never streamed Commencement before so this would be a first foray for us into it (if we end up doing this option).

Just as an aside, we've had some outside groups do events in our theater where they've fed a camera into Zoom and it's
worked for those events. Mostly people presenting at a podium and talking or switching back and forth with PowerPoint.

Orientation for us is really more about community building as well as providing information for our incoming students -
I've just been pulled into this as of yesterday. I see this as a totally different type of event due to the normal
idea that we get incoming students to interact and get to know each other (and staff get to know them too). I haven't
seen options yet that are under consideration so this is my gut feeling. I think this is going to really mean a
totally different experience and not just repeating what we would do in a live event but I'm waiting to hear from our
Student Life staff about their thoughts.

Just some things I'm thinking about - nothing is definitive right now.

I am wondering what options are being used to Live Stream events now that we won’t be having in person commencement or

either?
