We administer and enforce student privacy laws such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA). The Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), a component of SPPO, provides technical assistance and on-site training to help schools, school districts and state education agencies safeguard information about students.
