-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I thought I'd share this one. This was received ~ 70.5 hours after the probe ... And, keep in mind, six emails from me just to get this. Interesting here is their comments that I would probably achieve better results if I took it up with the 'local' authorities', when in fact I requested to get a copy of their logs so I could do just that (Contact the locals), and no such luck. "Not yet anyway." Hope springs eternal! Why is it that, many in the IT Security realm are so willing to help and share their accumulated base of knowledge and experiences (And this is generally provided on your time which equals your money) while those that provide the access for on-line connectivity (Hence they receive the monthly dues) seem unwilling to meet us halfway somewhere? Is this asking too much? And, about the local authorities. I recall an incident that took place ~ 15 months ago with tier 2 support technicians @ our local police agency. "When I said UDP the TS person said, "Oh - you mean UniDentified Packets!" It seems clear that in some regards one efforts as a responsible security person are in vain ..... "No wonder things are so challenging and difficult!"
