Yes, i am interested. Things i've seen so far are:

cciapi - too complex and unsupported anyways, though numerous software 
vendors joined the development group (or declared that at least).
There are no real-life implementations, just some proof of concept code.
And it lacks networking protocol anyways, it is just API.
Looks like it is dead now.

i-cap - highly HTTP-centric and some major issues are yet to be resolved
and documented. Looks like is not much activity on the project too.
