Im not sure why you should...it was developed in conjunction with several
academic institutions, and (as per the GPL) the source is available.

I found a nice article in September 2001 issue of Linux 
Magazine on IP 
Tables and Packet Filterin with Linux 2.4.X it is a bit 
elementery for 
most.. but a good article none the less... There is also info about 
Security Enhanced Linux (made by the National Security 
Agency) .. how come 
i am mis trusting of this distro of linux?
