Re: pix vs. ios firewall feature set

AMS,

I'm a bit confused.

You would like to hear the comments of some number of total, anonymous strangers who happen to subscribe to this list rather than listen to "a cisco engineer"? Wouldn't it make more sense to try and confirm information like this through your normal Cisco sales and support channels?

My only comments are that your note seems like flame bait and I question the logic of trying to determine vendor strategy from messages on an open, anonymous mail list.

gentlemen:
a cisco engineer recently told me that the plan for the above 2
products is %100 feature convergence and that currently, there's
about %80 of the features of pix present in the ios firewall feature
set.
any comments as to the reality of the above?

tnx
