After all, the A root name server is in the US and could be shut down by the US Government. Without another server becoming the primary the Internet would disappear.
Ehm - it's a bitch of a reconf (hey - we roughly have 3 weeks, which shouldbe a reasonable deadline), but of course it's not impossible to change root servers
on a country level.Anyway - the internet's infrastructure doesn't die nor can it's legal ownership,
