The value and the curse of this list is that it is an open forum.  I for
one believe that it should remain open.  Unfortunately, until certain
elements of our membership have learned to control their impulses we will
continue suffering through their unprofessional approach toward
interpersonal communications.  Unless members are actually capable of
self-restraint, it won't really matter what steps the list owners take
short of moderation, which would devalue the purpose of the service
rendered.
