EMail sent and patch provided the same day. I hope iDefense had a few good reasons to hold on to this for over 100 days before even reporting it to the vendor.
Regardless of what the source of the delay was, I don't think this is much different than the posts in which the bug finder says "I found this a couple months ago and forgot about it, but now I guess I'll post it." People who regularly read disclosure histories will see these kinds of delays on a regular basis from a variety of researchers, sometimes even from people who advocate 0-day releases. There can be many reasons for a delay, such as "couldn't find the right POC at the vendor," "wanted to research the bug more," "got too busy with my real job," "found a more serious bug in a different product," etc. - Steve _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
