Confixx development team can say, that all 3 mentioned issues: are fixed now (since 19 July 2004). The properly updated system is free of these vulnerabilities.
They are only fixed for 3.0, but where is the update for 2.0!? There are a lot of 2.0 installations around... They can be found them by trying the url "<domain>/version.php" on each host. Since Confixx had usernames with suffix 0 as standard passwords, it is easy to crack an account. If there is no standard password, try common ones, there is likely to be at least one stupid user on each system. After that, the described vulnerabilities can be used to get root privileges on each 2.0 installation with enabled user-driven backup/restore. -Dirk -- Close the windows - the penguin is freezing
