Thanks for that John. That looks like it. Although from what the techies I have spoken to have said, it is a bit more serious than what that article says. They were saying that the whole unit is basically rat-sh*t afterwards. They stressed that the hard-drives went as well, so make sure backups were pretty frequent. I don't know, mabey if the techs were actually from Dell, they would be a bit more responsive.......lol Chris ________________________________ From: full-disclosure-admin () lists netsys com [mailto:full-disclosure-admin () lists netsys com] On Behalf Of John.Herbert () ins com Sent: Tuesday, 16 March 2004 8:22 PM To: lists2 () onryou com; full-disclosure () lists netsys com Subject: RE: [Full-disclosure] DELL 1600 and 1650 potential fire risk Cael has a point.. :-) A quick google gives this: http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/01/21/HNdellfixes_1.html ...which may be what you're looking for. Hi Chris, Personally, if my office and everyone in it was conceivably in peril of imminent destruction by raging inferno I don't think I'd let my account rep 'gloss over' the problem. Do you not like your co-workers? :) Take care, Cael _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
