Odd that a company that supposedly has now >developed a serious interest
in security has not done this, but has found the time and staffing to produce, test, manufacture and distribute an at least six month out-of- date "patch CD"... (Not that the patch CD is bad thing, but it provides an interesting observation of the actual priorities despite Billy Boy's proclamation that security issues were to take precedence
over features.)
learning while lurking, and compelled to respond concerning M$ and so called security.... isn't it obvious that billy boy's number one concern is making a profit? Doesn't matter who he makes it from, students trying to learn or, *pardon*, old timers trying to make the internet a more secure place for end users.... there is no amount that is going to satisfy his thirst for money and power.... security measures are just lip service.... just another power play.... build it and they will come... despite the cost, despite the holes, despite the apparent lack of concern he shows for his subjects....sigh.... such is life in the big city. _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
