I however admit being stumped - given how low this list has sunk of late,

I don't know how to comment on that really; not a good start to an email.. But there are many other lists around you know. This one has it's qualities and sometimes people kind of abuse it; we just have to accept that spoofed spam.. And be more intelligent with email, sign you emails with a key; maybe even encrypt them! (fsck just realised that doesn't quite work with a moderated list.. SPF.. Makes no difference, many x.y.zcom webmail accounts with SPF or any other form of domain verification. But it does limit the DSL "Zombie" IRC-Bot machines. (Unless they relay.. Odd though apart from the obvious Outlook/IE/??Thunderbird??/??Firefox?? Mail sending via exploit routes; generally the SMTP part of the bot will do direct comms with the destination(am I wrong on this?? how wrong??)))

Might have to point them at a Martha Stewart or Barney mailing list, although
those might be a step *up* in technical challenge (remember, arranging a dozen
flowers in a vase requires counting to a dozen...)
But is that a bakers dozen?

Cheers,
Dan.
