Actually, the chances aren't *totally* ruined - proper application of higher
mathematics can still salvage things.  There exist many known examples of
infinite-length paths and areas that fit into finitely bounded areas and
volumes respectively.

All that remains is to create a discussion system  that replaces the current
pseudo-linear threading model with one that uses a Sierpinksi Gasket as the
mapping substrate (which actually has some interesting applications for the
handling of subthreads)...

(And yes, my New Year's resolution this year is to try to be less blatantly geeky ;)
