So  the Canadian border guards are unarmed, and basically toll collectors
with an upgraded job description.  And on almost a weekly basis, we send
then dangerous hardened criminals, who are heavily armed and likely on enough
pharmeceuticals so they wouldn't notice getting shot anyhow.

And is *anybody* surprised when they do the sane thing in that situation,
which is to run and hide and let the RCMP go after them? ;)
