BellSouth and Verizon have been trying to force big Web sites to pay
extortion-type fees if the sites want adequate bandwidth, with Google a
prime target. But Google has news for them: It won't pay.

Google told Networking Pipeline's Paul Kapustka in no uncertain terms
that it won't give in to the cyberextortion. And despite reports to the
contrary, Google says, it isn't talking with any carriers about the
issue.

And next month Google-plex will be announced from the purchasing Qwest
and Sprint. GoogleISP is an alternative ISP system that offers phone,
TV shows, and network to your home. It will also have a satellite
phone, link, radio and TV in 2008 for world-wide coverage.

Google ISP will not offer deep discounts but will be a what you see is
what you get method. Telephone will be subsidized with 10 second ads
at the beginning of a call, but you can choose which ads meet your
needs or you would prefer to hear. TV shows will use a model of ads
at the beginning, middle and end of a show for your the consumers
pleasure. If you do not want ads, you will be charged an appropriate
higher rate to make up the missed costs.
