http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=1690 Mistakes happen? It is absolutely crucial for the President of the United States to have sufficient and unknown amounts of security for him and his family whenever they travel. For example, the number of vehicles in the motorcade, motorcade routes and information about the flight plans of Air Force One -- the aircraft that transports the president and his family -- are usually kept completely secret to the public. Much to the shock of the US Air Force, the San Francisco Chronicle informed the Air Force about an Air Force base web site that gave sensitive information about Air Force One. Information included the following: Interior maps of the planes, information about the anti-missle defenses on the Air Force one, and locations where terrorists could potentially "detonate the tanks that supply oxygen to Air Force One's medical facility." According to the San Francisco Chronicle: We were able to find the information mentioned within a few hours, and it wouldnt be surprising if anyone who really was looking for the info could do the same. Even without the documents mentioned by the Chronicle, there are literally dozens of technical documents freely available with a lot of Air Force One's capacities mentioned. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=site%3Aaf.mil+vc-25+filetype%3Apdf&btnG=Search ----------------- whoops! -JP _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
