Yah, I knew it was something like that.... If they're not going to be using the name, ever, they should just allow Ethereal to keep it's name.... Ethereal got hired by another company and somehow there was a conflict of interests with the name or some such thing.... Memory failing...
Basically the company still owns the right to the name "Ethereal". That is why the project cannot use it anymore - legally. The company itself does not seem to intend to use the name in future, though.
