I don't get this. For one, the SC can't pass laws or update federal
regulations. Two, most current regulations that require some amount of
data to be stored for a period of time has a cost cut off type break
for companies, something along the lines of "if it costs too much,
you're off the hook." And more breaks for any data you can call
transitory...
