What does this all mean? Quite simply, this is the outsourcing of our Constitutional rights. It means that all privacy protections on our drivers licence data will be removed once the DMV sends your data to the private corporation. [snip]
Without reading the article, that's an exceptionally ignorant statement. There is nothing Constitutional about a driver's license, or an ID, for one. Two, the data contained within such an ID is already held by public/private databases all over the country right now - and much of it is public knowledge. While I hate the idea of centralized databases collecting information on me, that's just the state of things today, no point in trying to avoid it unless you plan to move to a third world country. _______________________________________________ privacy mailing list privacy () whitestar linuxbox org http://www.whitestar.linuxbox.org/mailman/listinfo/privacy
