I'm having a dim memory of a Heinlein novel that did a variant on that - slip
the bomb into an unsuspecting friend's bag, get in line *ahead* of them,
announce you have a bomb, get strip-searched, and then retrieve the bomb
from the friend when they get fed up and just wave the lot of them through
because they have to make a deadline for takeoff...

And that was written, what, 60 years ago?
