Infiltrating carder/RBN/etc economies?

Someone posted this amusing article: http://www.zdnet.co.uk/misc/print/0,1000000169,39291463-39001111c,00.htm It's called "Cracking open the cybercrime economy". Surely someone has "infiltrated" the carder social networks, or the spammersocial networks, just like those "suburban anti-jihadi" people have infiltrated the jihadi social networks, right? Even back in the mid-90s,
one of the early anti-spam people infiltrated a few of the spammer's email lists (the "Freedom Knights" come to mind) and posted a lot of pretty enraging/embarassing emails. Has someone infiltrated carder networks, or the RBN or whatever? You can't tell me that some engineer an an MAE hasn't gotten a bur under the saddle and done this: usenet spamming drove people clinically insane enough to do "back spamming" and other unethical or illegal things. DDOS and botnets and stuff must have the same effect on others. So, somebody get a hushmail account and spill the beans. Dan Brown needs new material! _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
