But if it is yet another maneuver to extend the reach of Big
Brother to cast a wide surveillance net that infringes on my
personal privacy, then of course I oppose this.

Given the track record of the Bush Administration insofar as
their real intentions on anything, it is highly dubious that it
is "as it appears".
