If this is really geared towards monitoring for malicious activity
and protecting infrastructure with regards to national security, then
so do I.

But if it is yet another maneuver to extend the reach of Big
Brother to cast a wide surveillance net that infringes on my
personal privacy, then of course I oppose this.

Given the track record of the Bush Administration insofar as
their real intentions on anything, it is highly dubious that it
is "as it appears".
