I was interested in this story in the current issue of "C4ISR Journal: The Magazine of Net-Centric Warfare": "Hand-held device OK'd to handle Secret data" The NSA has apparently certified a new handheld device, "the 11-ounce Sectera Edge" to be able to switch between classified and unclassified data networks "anywhere they have a cell signal". The online version of the story (dated twelve days in the future?) is here: http://www.c4isrjournal.com/story.php?F=3458956 The product page from the manufacturer (General Dynamics C4 Systems) is here: http://www.gdc4s.com/content/detail.cfm?item=32640fd9-0213-4330-a742-55106fbaff32 The sweet product demo video is here: http://www.gdc4s.com/content/detail.cfm?item=32640fd9-0213-4330-a742-55106fbaff32 I'd be interested what this gang thinks of the idea of classified network wireless access for PDA/phones . . . _-_ gar _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
