Lidl spying fine totals EUR1.5m

Discounter Lidl will pay fines of EUR1.5m (US$2.12m) after German data protection authorities investigated accusations 
that the retailer spied on its staff.

"Lidl agrees to hefty fine over spy scandal
Lidl has agreed to pay a seven-figure fine over having spied on its employees.
Reports in the German media said the discount chain will pay around E0.6m-0.7m in Lower Saxony alone, through having to 
pay 60 to 70 fines of E10,000 each. The company has denied that it was systematically spying on its employees."
