Absolutely. I'm still driving a 2000 model with ~90k miles, keeping my oil
changed regularly and my fingers crossed.

Theres is no "new" credit in the consumer market right now that isn't
highway robbery, and we are all being screwed in that regard.

There's simply no way any "average" consumer can get ahead in this regard,
and unfortunately, the prognosis for the short-term looks pretty bleak.

I'm of the opinion that we're looking a at a bell-curve, double-dip [1]
with regards to economic recovery -- things will get worse before they get
better, in my opinion.

At any pace, things are not getting "better" and to suggest thet the
average consumer can afford a new vehicle, especially an expensive vehicle,
is nonsense.

People are hurting.
