To the Chinese, copying other people's work is not wrong. Remember, they're COMMUNISTS, IE, they don't believe in Property rights. We aren't the first civilization to create the beast that destroys us (Rome by outsourcing its defense to mercenaries, Egypt by outsourcing its defense to Rome, Athens by outsourcing it to Sparta....). Outsourcing your "core competency" (which for most civilizations has been waging war, but for ours is making stuff) is how your civilization creates the competitor that destroys it, and simultaneously reduces its ability to defend itself. -----Original Message----- From: funsec-bounces () linuxbox org [mailto:funsec-bounces () linuxbox org] On Behalf Of Juha-Matti Laurio Sent: Sunday, December 20, 2009 12:32 PM To: funsec () linuxbox org Subject: [funsec] Microsoft Statement Regarding MSN China Joint Venture's Juku Feature I.e. the code was stolen... http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2009/dec09/12-15statement.mspx Juha-Matti _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
