Retailer JC Penney fought to keep its name secret during court proceedings related to the largest breach of credit card data on record http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9174363/JC_Penney_tried_to_block_publ ication_of_data_breach OK, a couple of points: a) When you get hit in such a public event, trying to deny and keep out of the news is really, really stupid. It just makes you look worse when (inevitably) you get found out. b) Gee, those disclosure laws work really well, don't they?
