The fact that Sony's profits are *up* after this huge series of breaches points out

Odd, according to  http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2385813,00.asp

"Sony said Monday that the effects of the Japan earthquake and tax provisions
will drag the company into a $3.18 billion loss for its 2011 fiscal year. Costs
from the PlayStation Network hack are expected to total $171 million, the
company said."

What's really sad: 100 million were affected. If the layers take 30%,
that leaves about $1.05 (USD) for each account. I think that buys
about 3 days worth of credit monitoring on the open market. +1 to the
legislature, which accepts brides (err, PAC contributions) to make
sure the victims get victimized a second time.
