IBM used to offer a handy utility called "zap"
Speaking as somebody who used to make a living running IMASPZAP, I'll point out two things: 1) It didn't do what most non-IBM mainframe jocks think it does based on the name(*). 2) If Rob knew enough about Windows to get an IMASPZAP-like program to fix his problem, he would (a) not be posting asking for help and (b) be filthy stinking rich. ;) (*) http://www.jaymoseley.com/hercules/imaspzap.htm - is a good readable-by-mortals description. Though the I M A is a backronym at best - MVS names *everything* with the first 3 letters for the section of the system involved IMA just happens to be System Service Aids.
