Another day another release. There were a couple more issues with ptrace and older Linux kernels. Now, however, I am pretty confident that Systrace-1.6c is going to work for all of you. You know where to get it. If you are impatient, try the following Debian packages: http://www.citi.umich.edu/u/provos/systrace/systrace_1.6c_i386.deb http://www.citi.umich.edu/u/provos/systrace/xsystrace_0.1_i386.deb Niels. As it turned out, the ptrace-based Systrace release that I announced last months had some issues running on Linux 2.4 kernels. After some careful debugging of ptrace peculiarities, I was able to identify the issues and released Systrace 1.6b which you can download from http://www.citi.umich.edu/u/provos/systrace/ This version also deals with Linux installations where the header files do not match the kernel. That seems to be quite common for Linux - don't ask me why. Anyway, give it a spin and let me know what works and doesn't work for you. Niels.
