I have some questions about using new roo version 1.2:
 - Can I install roo under as a xen guest using fc6/fc7 kernel,
or roo is it really dependant about this??

I would venture to guess that if you can run an FC6 "instance" with
3 interfaces under Xen that you should be able to run roo-1.2 under
it as well but I've not had time to play with Xen yet :(

 - Can I use another rhel based distro as a base system for
walleye, snort, etc packages provided by roo??

I've made a bit of headway in decoupling the App layers from the OS
layer but still have work to do. RHEL5/CentOS5 would be best bets
here if youre serious since they both have FC6 (which roo-1.2 is
based on) roots.

We've needed to move to a baseOS with longer life expectency for a
long time. Shutdown of the Legacy Project pretty much broke the
camels back. CentOS5 makes sense but thats a discussion for
another list (see below).

I am really insterested about running roo under xen. Can I
download src packages from some site??

We're sorting out some hosting/server issue as we speak so we get a
mail list going for use/development discussion and a Read-Only copy
of the SVN tree. Stay tuned.
