Here is the deal in the form of an exceprt from a news report:

The plan was to join the 83-year-old patriarch of the outlawed Unified
Buddhist Church of Vietnam, Thich Huyen Quang, on June 7 and take him
from house arrest in Quang Ngai province for urgent medical treatment.

The title of the email, translated to English is "Freedom or
Dath." Without getting to political (since this is not the correct forum
for that) this email is an electronic leaflet raising awareness
about the plight of Thich Quang Do and Thich Huyen Quang, who are
undergoing persecution by the Vietnamese communist government.

One is currently under house arrest and the email is a call
to rally for his support, specifically to free him and get
medical attention.

More on topic, I would not view this as a pending security threat
(like the China/US or the Arab/Israel hactivist exchanges) but
some parties on either side may decide to deface web servers in
an attempt to garner public support.  I find this somewhat
unlikely.

FYI, the rally is scheduled to take place on Thursday
June 7th in Vietnman. Depending on how events turn out,
the ramifications for us security folk may be significant
or not.
