-- Steve: The problem is spelling. One doesn't know where the spelling went astray but the word is omphalos which means [Greek] the "navel". Omphaloskepsis means [literally] to contemplate the navel, hence self-contemplation, especially if turned inwardly, deep thought far removed from the real world. Don't hold me to Greek grammar; you get the idea. willis
