The GMD (German National Research Center for Information Technology)
Tokyo Bureau announces a WWW site describing Japanese activities
relevant to the Global Information Infrastructure (GII). It is based on
the Japanese contributions to the "G7 Ministerial Meeting on the
Information Society" which took place in Brussels, Belgium on  24-26
February 1995.  It also contains information on follow-up events at the
G7-level and corresponding meetings at the APEC-level.  It provides
background information on the summit, materials presented by Japanese
participants, Japanese policy papers about the information and
communication society, and related articles from the Japanese press.
