IP: New Sharp PDA

Today I had a chance to use the new Sharp PDA on its way to Comdex. It is
on the market in Japan in Japanese but I had a try at one of the few
English (well American) language units.


Size -- nice handfull. Somewhat like 4 x 6 ish x 1+ ish. 


Display -- TFT color VERY nice -- like my Librette (smaller).


Battery life ~10 hrs 


built in modem


it had a browser, internet mail system, PPP connectivity via modem  and a
GREAT video camera that can take 90 pictures with the internal memory but
can be moved to flash and via the PC connection over to the PC.


It is NOT a MS CE unit (if the CE's are as good I will be happy and the
Sharp is COLOR)


Where does it fit. It aint a PC and I would keep my Libretto. It is not a
Zaurus -- it is much more. Some where between a Pilot and a PC. Seems to me
that that is where the PDA fight will be fought.


Right now I would take on and give it a try. Main question is would I carry
my Libretto with me or the Sharp or XXX-CE units.
