As you already know, Wednesday is a big day for the Internet community. In addition to the Supreme Court oral arguments on the Communications Decency Act, the Senate Commerce Committee will hold a hearing on the Burns/Leahy Promotion of Commerce Online in the Digital Era (Pro-CODE S.377) bill Wednesday at 2:00 pm Eastern (11:00 am Pacific). The hearing will be cybercast LIVE at http://www.democracy.net. You can listen in on the hearing, join an online discussion, submit testimony for the record and pose questions to the Committee. democracy.net is a new project of the Center for Democracy and Technology and the Voters Telecommunications Watch designed to explore ways of enhancing citizens particpation in the democratic process via the Internet. democracy.net is made possible through the generous support of Webactive (http://www.webactive.com/), Panix (http://www.panix.com/), Digex (http://www.digex.net), and the Democracy Network (http://www.democracynet.org).
