You are so right.


During the 1980s there were 28,000 for-profit libraries established in the
US.  At these libraries you could rent 10 gigabytes of information overnight
for $3.00.  They used no government subsidies or programs, yet they now
server over 85 percent of American households.


What are they?  Video stores.
