MICROSOFT SEEKS TERMINAL SOLUTION Microsoft has licensed multi-user technology from Citrix Systems Inc. and Prologue SA of France that will allow users of terminals connected to central servers running Windows NT to run most PC programs. The move is viewed as Microsoft's response to Oracle's and Sun Microsystems' focus on network computers -- devices similar to terminals in that they rely on central servers for most functions, but with more processing power than a simple terminal. The multi-user capability will be added to the current Windows NT 4.0 version, and will be an integral part of 5.0. (Wall Street Journal 12 May 97)
