IP: Great and bad few days for the Intenet

Lets see:


Monday the Presidential Easter Egg hunt was show  over the internet by
Earthlink


Tuesday the  Internet 2 effort was announced by the Vice president  as well
as the funding by Darpa of its optical baa winners (see future note)


Monday and Tuesday AT&Ts data network which carried its internet traffic
for a large number of people and companies collapsed for causes not yet
announced and left major financial concerns and credit card systems (and I
assume many internet users) off line for almost 2 days. 


Wednesday the Marconi Award will be given to Vint Cerf


What a mix of good and bad things!! Congrad Vint!!!! (that was good) and
congrads Skiy for a great job on the Easter Egg. Now who do we hang at AT&T :-)
