P.S. -- Right now, what Microsoft is doing -- remotely disabling software for which you've legitimately paid -- is of questionable legality. However, should UCITA be adopted by state governments, it would become legal. Coincidence? Maybe not. In a recent column, InfoWorld columnist Ed Foster pointed out that the lawyer who oversaw the drafting of UCITA just happens to have been employed by Microsoft. (See http://www.infoworld.com/cgi-bin/displayNew.pl?/foster/991011ef.htm for more on this.) MCSE = Marginally Competent/Super-Expensive
