Boycott of AT&T underway in the USA

from http://www.virtualjerusalem.com/israelwire/

(IsraelWire-10/30) As a direct result of the news that the US
telecommunications giant AT&T was being contracted by the Israel Defense
Force to assist in efforts to control the ongoing cyber war in Israel,
anti-Israel elements in the United States are undertaking efforts to
persuade persons to change their long-distance telephone carrier and send
letters of protest to AT&T.

Persons opposed to Israel's response to the ongoing Arab violence and
attacks over the past month has indicated the IDF's official website
(http://www.idf.il/ ) was "justifying Israel's killing of innocent
Palestinians by Israeli security forces."

The IDF called upon AT&T after hackers in the ongoing war that is gaining
momentum in Israel, downed its site. On Sunday morning, pro-Israel elements
were credited with knocking out the site of the Hizbullah guerilla
organization, while last week, the official website of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs was also downed by hackers. It was also confirmed that the
official Knesset website came under attack.

Israel's largest Internet Service Provider (ISP), Netvision, is working
around-the-clock to improve security and build an appropriate firewall.
Netvision houses the sites that were attacked last week and increased
hacking activities from both sides of the political fence are expected as
the violence in Israel continues.
