[ I guess I will endlessly have to repeat what I have said before. I try to balance what I send out. Except for "empty" or nasty beyond belief messages I send thoughtful stuff especially stuff I disagree with . I am counting on the fact that a democratic people must hear all sides and then decide what they believe. If the output seems unbalanced it is the fault of the input. djf]

I think a lot of the stuff being forwarded by you with this slant advocates an approach which unfortunately has never worked to my knowledge. Yes violence begats violence but maybe turning the other cheek begats even more violence (witness the Holocaust). So on what time scale does Mr. Burstein's prescription work ? It doesnt seem to have worked for thousands of years so whats going to make it work this time? And while we wait how much damage do we take ? Wake up! Finally to add to my polemic I notice very little being said about the financing of all of this terrorism and the states and instiutions that make it possible. I think we should also be at "war"(not physical warfare but economic warfare) with countries that aid and abet the financing of these activites. What happened with Switzerland during the second World War(which many historians say extended the war)and is happening now with many countries participating needs to be stopped.
