Dave, have you noticed that Sony is pushing its copy-protected "MiniDiscs" and
"Memory Sticks" as storage media for all of these devices? This is because Sony
is a media empire as well as a consumer electronics empire.

Those who do not want to risk having to violate the DMCA to exercise
their right to fair use -- or, in some cases, to copy material which they
themselves created -- should think twice before buying these products.
