"all copyright holders are viewed the same in the eyes of the law. At the
moment the individual becomes a copyright holder they gain the same rights
and priviliges as Disney or a record label, including the right to hack
computers the copyright holder suspects of infringing their copyright. For
a hacker, this is a license to kill: "reasonable suspician" of a minor
copyright violation could serve as an effective shield against subsequent
prosecution. For a disgruntled would-be novelist or open source programmer
who's machine has been rooted and his/her files erased, it's license for
massive retaliation and revenge."
