Subject: Ad/Spyware defeat program...

Dave,
This might be a good thing for the list. A friend stumbled across this
program, which finds something like 6000 different types of "spyware" user
tracking programs and lets you know what's crawled into your registry so you
can elminate it. I ran it on my wife's machine after interaction with
spyware caused Internet Explorer to become unusable on her machine. It
found over 500 of these things actually installed (that machine's been in
use for about a year for general browsing and web email). Eliminating them
all made the machine run faster and more importantly, be usable again...

The best thing about it other than it's free (they'd like donations of
course!), is that it lets you see whats there and decide if you want to keep
any of it, before making any changes on your machine...

Thanks
