Nick Ruark Quality MobileCommunications ________________________________________ National Forum on Public Safety Spectrum Management A Public Meeting to Address Objectives in the President's Memorandum on Spectrum Policy February 10-11, 2004 The Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) will host a 2-day public meeting designed to gather information from state and local public safety entities and governments about better ways to manage the Nation's airwaves. The meeting will be held on February 10-11, 2004, at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC. The Omni Shoreham is located at 2500 Calvert Street NW. Phone: (202) 234-0700 Fax: (202) 265-7972 This public meeting will offer an opportunity for interested parties to participate in the President's initiative to develop a U.S. spectrum policy for the 21st century to ensure national and homeland security, promote economic growth, and foster new technologies. If you cannot attend, but would like to participate, a webcast will be conducted. Information will be forthcoming. In addition, a comprehensive online survey will be posted at the beginning of February. The Department of Commerce will develop recommendations for revising policies and procedures to promote more efficient and beneficial use of spectrum based on the input gathered through this public meeting.
