One has to distinguish mp3 players (the small flash variety) from mp3 jukeboxes (measured in GB)... of which Apple doesn't support in iTunes due to competition with the iPod. If you look at the latest Creative Labs' (for example) Nomad Jukebox 2, 3 and the Zen (any model), none are supported by iTunes or any other non-iTunes software on the Mac. If you call Creative they complain that Apple "stopped talking to them when the iPod came out"... if you call Apple they'll tell you that Creative needs to write their own software. This has meant that many of us recent Mac converts have had to keep a token PC around... Joe On Tue, 6 Jan 2004, Dave Farber wrote:

Seems a bit strange to me considering that iTunes works with SonicBlue, CreativeLabs, Nike, and Nakamichi mp3 players, and has since it's version 2 release.
